Everything you need to drive the agent

Installation

Grab the right build from the download page — it detects your OS and architecture automatically. You can also install from a terminal:

any platform
# Windows (PowerShell)
PS> irm https://terminal4.si/install.ps1 | iex

# macOS / Linux
$ curl -fsSL https://terminal4.si/install.sh | sh

The installer sets up the CLI, the desktop app, and a managed Python environment. Nothing outside your user profile is touched.

Quick start

first session
# initialize the agent in the current project
$ terminal4 init

# delegate a mission
$ terminal4 run "audit this repo, fix the failing tests, open a report"

# interactive mode
$ terminal4

The agent plans, executes shell commands and file edits, verifies results, and prints a summary. Approvals are requested for sensitive actions unless you enable Super mode.

CLI reference

commands
terminal4 init # set up a project profile
terminal4 run "<mission>"      # one-shot mission
terminal4 serve # start the local gateway
terminal4 update --force-venv  # force a self-update
terminal4 --yolo # skip approvals for this session

Super Agent mode

Super mode is the full-power profile for intensive work: no per-action confirmations, a dedicated executor persona, and all tools pre-authorized. Enable it from the desktop app (the ⚡ icon) by setting a PIN.

  • Local-only switch — the PIN is stored hashed (scrypt) on your machine.
  • Persistent — the mode survives restarts until you disable it with the same PIN.
  • Hard floors stay on — protected paths and deny rules run before the bypass, always.

Gateway & remote access

The gateway exposes your agent over WebSocket. Open Settings → Gateway in the desktop app and choose a mode:

  • Local — bind to localhost for the desktop UI and CLI.
  • Remote URL — connect the UI to a gateway running elsewhere.
  • Cloud — sign in once; your agent appears in your account and gets username.t-4.si for access from anywhere.
  • SSH — drive an agent on a remote server through an SSH tunnel.

Domains & email

Every account gets a provisioned identity, managed for you:

  • username.t-4.si — your personal gateway. One per account. Reach your agent from any device.
  • project.t-4.app — up to 10 live project URLs per account for sites and apps the agent builds and deploys.
  • [email protected] — the agent's own mailbox. One sending identity, up to three receiving inboxes.

Provisioning happens automatically on first sign-in — no DNS skills required.

Skills

Skills are reusable mission playbooks. Browse the Skills Library, install with one click, or publish your own to the community:

skill manifest (skill.json)
{
  "name": "repo-audit",
  "version": "1.2.0",
  "description": "Full security + quality audit with report",
  "steps": [ "scan", "patch", "verify", "report" ]
}

Plugins

Plugins extend the agent with new tools — API connectors, deployers, browsers. Install from the Marketplace directly inside the app. Plugin manifests declare the permissions they need; you approve once at install time.

Troubleshooting

  • The desktop app lost its backend — a stale background updater can kill the gateway. It is disabled automatically in v1.0; restart the app if you see a red status bar.
  • PIN rejected — the PIN is set on first enable. If you forgot it, sign out of Super mode from the app menu to reset.
  • Gateway not reachable remotely — check Settings → Gateway shows mode Cloud and the status pill is green; then verify username.t-4.si resolves.
  • Still stuck? Contact support — include your session log from Help → Export logs.
